  • Site Work Foreman

    Primary purpose
    Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in site construction, such as, sanitary and storm sewer construction, concrete walks and structures, parking lot and drainage infrastructure.
    Typical Duties
    Supervise crew of 3-8 workers, consisting of carpenters, laborers and heavy equipment operators. Examines blueprints to determine construction methods, plans and maintains construction schedules, places phone calls to coordinate work with supervisors and handles delivery of materials and communications with other trades.

    Intellectually the foreman must able to apply principles of rational systems, time reporting systems, job-cost systems and record such systems with computers or paper recording devices. Should be skilled in computation of calculations of volumes, percentages, profit and loss, weights and measures.

    Foreman must adhere to OSHA and company safety policies, assure employees work in a safe environment, and assist in training programs.

  • Heavy Equipment Operator

    Primary purpose

    Effectively uses, operates and maintains power construction equipment such as track type excavators, skid steer loaders, dozers, backhoes and wheel loaders to excavate, grade and prepare excavation areas for piping, structures, parking lots and drainage.

    Typical Duties
    Safety work outside and operate around other workers, operate equipment in tight or confined conditions. Operate equipment without supervision necessary to make cuts and fills, compact dirt to required specifications, load trucks, grade and prepare dirt and gravel necessary for construction.

    Must perform minor repairs and grease and maintain equipment.

    Operator must be able to control grades, slopes and level surfaces within close tolerances. Operator must be physically able to mount and dismount equipment, occasionally lift and carry 50 pounds. Assist other trades when idle.

  • Skilled Laborer

    Primary Purpose
    Assists carpenters, operators and foreman with the construction of concrete formwork and rebar, installation of sanitary and storm systems, placing gravel and concrete for structures.
    Typical Duties
    Perform hand excavation with picks, shovels and rakes and lift and carry construction products on the jobsite. Work in dusty, muddy and outdoor elements. Erects scaffolds, uses ladders and must abide by and be competent with OSHA rules and regulations that apply to general construction and heavy construction.

    Must possess ability to safely use and maintain power tools, including power saws, drills, abrasive saws, tapes and lifting devices. Must safely work around heavy equipment, such as excavators, dump trucks, skid steer loaders, water pumps and electric generators.

    Workers should possess on the jobsite at all times basic tools, such as a hammer, tape measure, pencils, nail apron, and pliers.

    Physically, worker must be able to climb and balance on scaffolds and ladders and lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds. Regular lifting of 50 lbs. can be expected. Stoop, kneel and crawl in small or confined spaces.

  • Carpenter

    Primary Purpose
    Construct, erect formwork and tie reinforcing steel necessary to form and pour concrete slabs, structural walls and decorative concrete.
    Typical Duties
    Studies plans and information required to erect formwork using prefab panels, plywood and form ties.

    Verifies, cuts and shapes forms to specific dimensions and patterns using lumber, nails, screws and fastening devices. Erects scaffolds, uses ladders and must abide by and be competent with OSHA rules and regulations that apply to general construction and heavy construction.

    Must possess ability to safely use and maintain power tools, including power saws, drills, abrasive saws, tapes and lifting devices. Must safely work outside around heavy equipment, such as excavators, dump trucks, skid steer loaders, water pumps and electric generators.

    Workers should be able to work within precise limits of accuracy and apply mathematics to solve layout and construction issues associated with concrete construction. Must be able to layout, set and tie multiple shapes and sizes of reinforcing steel.

    Workers should possess on the jobsite at all times basic carpentry tools, such as a hammer, tape measure, pencils, nail apron, saws, levels, squares and pliers.

    Physically, worker must be able to climb and balance on scaffolds and ladders, lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds. Stoop, kneel and crawl in small or confined spaces at times.

    Needs to understand basic verbal and safety instruction in English, work in a team environment with positive and productive results. Be dependable, reliable and exceptional in work performance.
